“How could I possibly thank you?”
Expressing your gratitude, be it for a gift, an act of kindness, a shared meal, or a job interview, is easier than you think. All it takes is a sincere sentiment and the perfect paper. (Oh, and proper postage, too.)
Time is of the essence
Whether expressing appreciation for a gift or sending business thank you notes, promptness is important. All should be written and sent as soon as possible. Your thanks will seem more sincere when promptly penned and mailed.
Keep it simple and sincere
There are four basic elements to a well-penned thank-you greeting card:
• the greeting: Dear Megan,
• an appreciation: Thank you for the travel log.
• a mention of use: It will no doubt get good use during my trip to Australia and New Zealand.
• sign off with mention of the future: I can’t wait to share my adventures with you when I return next month.
