ALL MY DESIGNS ARE ON MY WEBSITE, CAN I JUST SEND A LINK FOR REVIEW?
We are looking for specific design submissions as you would develop them for STUDIO. (Please see submission guidelines). We are unable to review web portfolios. If you have a website with examples of additional work, please feel free include the address for possible further reference.

WHAT SIZE SHOULD THE STATIONERY ITEMS I SUBMIT BE?
Please size your stationery pieces based on optimal presentation of your design. Our required presentation format is one PDF per product category, with no more than three 8 1/2” x 11” pages (one page per design).

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR SPECIFIC SUBJECTS FOR BOXED AND CUSTOM PRINTED STATIONERY?
We are open to all design concepts that are appropriate for each category.

MAY I SEND MORE THAN 3 EXAMPLES IN EACH PRODUCT CATEGORY?
To facilitate the review process, submittals are limited to 3 per category. Selected designers will be contacted for more in-depth portfolio review. If you have a website with examples of additional work, please feel free include the address for possible further reference.

DO I HAVE TO SEND WORK IN FOR ALL PRODUCT CATEGORIES?
No. You may choose to send work in any, or all of the following product categories:

WHAT PRODUCTION PROCESSES CAN BE USED FOR STUDIO DESIGNS?
STUDIO designs may be produced using engraving, thermography, flat printing, letterpress, foil stamping, blind embossing, laser cutting and die cutting. Other production processes can be explored as needed.

I DESIGN AND PRINT MY OWN STATIONERY. WOULD CRANE STILL BE INTERESTED IN MY WORK?
Yes. We are looking for designs to be manufactured and distributed by Crane. STUDIO would be separate from your own stationery collection.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN MY WORK?
Crane will contact potential design partners no later than September 1st. Due to the anticipated response to this announcement, only artists/designers whose work is of interest will be personally contacted. All others will be emailed when chosen entries are complete.

HOW WILL I BE PAID FOR MY DESIGNS IF SELECTED FOR STUDIO?
We will be contacting selected designers to discuss detailed design requirements, payment terms, etc. following our initial review.

I MISSED YOUR DEADLINE. CAN I STILL SEND SAMPLES?
Yes. While your work will not be considered for our initial launch, we will continue to review new design work for possible future development.

MY ART/DESIGN IS TRADITIONAL. WOULD CRANE CONSIDER MY WORK FOR YOUR OTHER PRODUCT LINES?
Yes. Submitted art that does not fit STUDIO’s modern aesthetic will be considered for Crane’s core stationery collections.

I KNOW OF SEVERAL DESIGNERS WHOSE WORK WOULD BE PERFECT FOR STUDIO. CAN I FORWARD THE ANNOUNCEMENT TO THEM?
Please do. We would love to have samples from anyone whose work fits STUDIO’s modern aesthetic.
