My very wise Mom (the original diva) always told me that "form was just as important as substance."She said always buy the best you can afford, and use your best stationery when writing to family and friends. Her voice is in my head, and this is why I have used Crane stationery for as long as I can remember! I buys lots of blank cards, often have personalized at my local paper store, I use the Pearl White resume paper for more formal correspondence (but not a letterhead), and of course during the holidays, I purchase the most beautiful greeting and gift cards! I thought when I was younger that my mom was such an "elitist". Now that I am grown, post-menopausal and waiting to become a grandmother, I often reflect on all the wisdom and insight my Mom shared with me. Crane has been such a big part of my life, and because it's made of cotton, I've also been "green" long before "green" was the politically, eco-conscious thing to do!
