Crane, a premier manufacturer of fine stationery, currency and nonwoven papers, currently has an opening for a Sr. Process Engineer in the Stationery Division, located in North Adams, MA.
The Sr. Process Engineer is responsible for developing, evaluating and improving manufacturing methods based on Lean Manufacturing principles to continuously improve quality, throughput, and safety. This includes workflow and throughput, equipment improvements, space utilization and product quality. It is based on knowledge of product design, materials, processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities.
A track record of successful Project Management is essential. Involvement in increasingly demanding interdisciplinary project roles, to include role of project leader
Lean Six Sigma certification desired
Demonstrated ability in influencing and leading others without formal authority
Demonstrated success in managing self-directed projects. Proven high level of initiative with talent for anticipating and acting on next steps, at project, process, and organizational levels
Strong analytical problem solving ability
Demonstrated success managing Facilities/Maintenance teams with TPM and CMMS application
Strong technical writing and communication skills required
Proven ability to interact effectively and tactfully at all organizational levels and across all disciplines
Ability to become involved with customers and represent the Company with professionalism and confidence
Driver’s license to attend Company meetings off-site or at other locations, and/or vendor presentations, or technical seminars
Driver’s license and reliable personal transportation
