Crane & Co., Inc., a premier manufacturer of fine stationery, currency and nonwoven papers, currently has an opening for a Financial Analyst reporting to the Finance Director. This position will be located in our Manhattan office.

Finance Analysts play a critical role in Crane & Co., Inc.'s immediate and future success. This position will provide analytical and finance support to the Stationery Division. The role will support the sales and marketing organizations in pricing and promotion decisions as well as forecasting, reporting, and budgeting. The position will also support the creation of reporting and presentation to the senior leadership of Crane & Co., Inc. Qualified candidates will have outstanding analytical, communication, and organizational impact skills. Analysts must be able to solve complex business problems, identify profit growth opportunities, work in team-oriented environments, and interact frequently with senior level executives.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree from top tier university
  • 1-2 years' experience in corporate finance, financial services or consulting preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively and act quickly in a fast-moving turnaround environment
  • Strong aptitude for quantitative analysis coupled with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize among multiple projects
  • Ability to take initiative, performing as a self-starter
  • Above average ability to use Microsoft Office 2007 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and other software applications as needed
  • Ability to learn financial applications and aptitude for working in databases (JD Edwards, SAP, Business Objects, etc.)
