Crane & Co., Inc., a premier manufacturer of fine stationery, currency and nonwoven papers, currently has an opening for a Project Specialist in our Engineering Department.
The Project Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support, capital project cost accounting and project updates along with administrative duties as assigned by Managers within the Engineering, Process Control and Maintenance Departments.
The incumbent is responsible for accurate and extremely detailed project cost and status reports including all maintenance statistics. The successful candidate must be able to work with minimal direction to analyze and report on capital project cost data, completion percentages and Maintenance Department reliability efficiencies including detailed and accurate financial and time line information.
Responsibilities also include assisting Engineering, Process Control and Maintenance Managers with individual requests relating to capital and repair labor costs issues and support documentation along with RFA preparation prior to and after submittal for approval. Incumbent will also work with Financial Analysts in the Clarity software system to generate capital and repair labor budget estimate reports.

Requirements
- Associates Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
- 8 years’ administrative experience along with proven project tracking experience
- Detailed experience in the use of Microsoft office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Detailed and in-depth knowledge in generating Excel spreadsheets, graphing statistical financial and project timeline data, calculating financial and efficiency percentages
- Detailed knowledge in the operation of Microstrategy or other financial- data warehouse software, Project Track or other project management software and the J.D. Edwards CMMS
- Demonstrated ability creating and maintaining capital project financial statistics and spreadsheets
- Ability to generate reports related to real-time project and repair labor spending utilizing a combination of software systems
- Ability to properly categorize, file and archive project files and drawings
- Ability to organize, update and maintain hot work permits and fire protection systems inspection forms annually audited by insurance carriers
- Ability to assist with answering phones, organizing meetings and general administrative duties
- Excellent ability to define and solve problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deal professionally with many people both within and outside the Company
- Self-directed, creative individual with demonstrated ability to apply business, technical and analytical and interpersonal skills towards problem solving and solutions responsive to all customers

- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and provide own transportation
- Willing and able to use all skills in a teamwork environment in order to safely complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Must be able to pass and maintain security clearance through the United States Treasury Department
