Crane & Co., Inc., a premier manufacturer of fine stationery, currency and nonwoven papers, currently has an opening for a National Account Manager within our Consumer Division, located in our New York City office.
TheThe National Account Manager will lead the Company’s efforts to maintain and expand relationships with National and Corporate Accounts. This position will be responsible for developing and guiding the implementation of the account specific business plan; achieving account profitability and sales targets; serving as the primary account contact and providing account leadership. This individual will also be responsible for increased distribution of key brand items for permanent planogram space and seasonal displays. In addition, the incumbent will focus on headquarters assigned accounts, while coordinating closely with field associates assigned to these customers other locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, related field or equivalent experience
- 5 - 10 years’ experience in sales (preferably CPG). Minimum five years with National Accounts
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver a sales pitch
- Experience managing national retail customers (HQ level preferred)
- Ability to effectively implement sales and marketing strategies
- Possess strong analytical skills, critical thinking skills, problem solving skills
- Category management experience
- Proven ability to effectively communicate cross functionally within company and customer
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders internally and with customer
- Computer skills, including WORD, EXCEL, MICROSTRATEGY, Internet, and Groupwise
- Proven ability to accomplish sales goals according to plan
- Proven ability to develop new customer base
- Effective communication and rapport with customers
- Extensive knowledge of the stationery product line is a plus
- Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation
- Significant travel required
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
