Crane & Co., Inc., a world leader in the production of quality papers has openings in the Raw Materials Dept. for a Rotary Boiler Set Up/Moveperson. The Boiler Set Up person's primary responsibility is the safe set up and loading of materials so that production and quality of cooked cotton and linen is maximized. The incumbent must keep accurate records of incoming materials and material usage. This position is responsible for the appearance of the work area, which begins at the loading docks and runs to the boiler loading area. The Boiler Set Up/ Moveperson, with the help from supervision, must complete the Boiler Set Up Person's Training Plan prior to performing the job independently.
Qualifications include the following:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass and maintain security clearance through U.S. Treasury Department
- Ability to read, write, and keep neat and accurate records
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and ability to read a ruler to 1/8”
- Willingness to work any shift (rotating shifts) and overtime as needed
- Willingness to learn and advance within a defined line of progression
- Ability to pass the Industrial Power Truck licensing requirements
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
- Consistent work history preferred
