International Orders

Why yes, we do accept international orders (via email - - please). Alas, we cannot ship outside the continental U.S. and Canada for online orders.

But getting back to the good news. Our dear friends placing orders from abroad (via email, mind you) should be so kind as to provide us with this pertinent information:

  • Credit card billing address (we know giving out your credit card number makes you jittery, so please don’t include it - we’ll ask for it later on the phone, when it’s just the two of us)
  • Email address
  • Shipping address
  • Phone number for the delivery address (don’t forget the country code)
  • Item numbers
  • Quantity

After we’ve received the aforementioned details, we’ll send you a quote for shipping charges. We’ll give you a ring within 48 hours and email you as well - just in case you’re not anxiously sitting by your phone when we call. Shipping charges, order total, processing time, shipping time and order number - we’ll lay it all out for you.

Now that you have all the details, ring our customer service department at +1-413-684-7938 with your order number and one of our lovely representatives will make all of your paper dreams come true. Or at least help you complete your purchase.

One more thing for our international friends: Don’t forget duties and taxes -- if they’re imposed, they’ll be due when your order is delivered.


Shipping and Handling

If you’re ordering one of our boxed stationery products, your order will be processed in two to three business days. 

If you made things personal (as in personalized stationery), your order should be processed within 3 to 8 business days -- we suggest reading a good book to take your mind off the wait.

If you’re ordering from our selection of gifts & accessories: Rag & Bone Bindery non-personalized items are handmade to order and take three to five business days processing time prior to shipping. Graphic Image products will process in 3 to 6 business days prior to shipping, while Rag & Bone Bindery, Gallery Leather, and Sheaffer personalized products will process in five to ten business days prior to shipping. All other non-Crane products will process in two to three business days.



Just so you know, ground shipping from Massachusetts (where the paper magic happens) takes between two and six days.

Return Policies

We accept returns on non-personalized products up to 30 days from the delivery date. All you have to do is call us at 1-800-268-2281 and we’ll give you a return address and return number.

And to avoid an awkward phone call later, please know a few things:

  • All items must be in their original packaging and that the original boxes contain packing slips for proper credit
  • Unless your order was defective or mis-shipped, you’re responsible for return shipping and insurance (which we recommend)
  • Shipping charges for the original order are not refunded
  • Keep the shipping receipt handy until your credit is issued
  • You’ll receive your refund when we receive the returned order (and it’s in good condition)
  • Check your credit card statement in 7-14 days - your refund should be there waiting for you

Because we can’t really do anything with thank-you notes monogrammed with ‘BW’ (we already asked Bob Wallace in accounting, he politely declined), personalized stationery, invitations and announcements cannot be returned for a refund - unless, of course, we goofed.

We’re sticklers for spelling and grammar, but we have to assume you wanted your text to read ‘Black Toe Only’. So please (please!) check your online preview thoroughly before placing your order, as we won’t be responsible for errors of this nature.

But if your order does arrive with a typo, there’s still hope: We can reprint your order at 50 percent off; if it was our goof, the reprint is on us.

A few last notes on returns:

  • If you’re returning an order that was paid for with a gift certificate (what thoughtful friends you have!), the amount will be reissued to that gift certificate
  • Clearance, sale and special items cannot be returned for a refund, as these sales are final
  • The credit card used will be the only credit card to which we’ll apply adjustments
