Postponing a Wedding

Weddings are occasionally postponed due to illness or an unexpected death in the family. When there is enough time to do so, formal announcements are mailed to invited guests. The announcements are engraved or printed on formal wedding stationery that match the original wedding invitations. Postponement announcements announce the postponement and give the new wedding date. If there is not enough time to send announcements by mail, guests may be notified by phone.
